If the fish is not the type you are looking for or smaller than you want. Also fun.

The thing that might be hard for me to accept is certain liberation attitudes around children’s rights. I like the idea of children having freedom in the abstract, but I also think kids don’t have the capacity to responsibly have the same freedome as adults.

3·6 months agoOk the wild thing is when I open this website in my Lemmy app it doesn’t display most of the text… There is a white background instead of black, so the white text doesn’t display.

A while ago I mentioned to a German friend that I was visiting Andorra and he asked me where that was. I bet there are plenty of Europeans who don’t know where San Marino is either.
TIL that is even a country
Arguably, I believe America is the oldest constitutional nation.
I recently visited a church with a painting of John the Baptist and Jesus and, well…

Out of curiosity, what do you usually choose? I would imagine men tend to be less likely to care, but also maybe more dangerous if they do happen to care.

1·9 months agoI mean I was talking about a used car sale, which doesn’t financially contribute to the company. It bothers me that people object to simply owning a Tesla (not buying) to the point that they feel like they have to get rid of one they already have. This mentality speaks to a sickness of identity which ties ones indicators of belonging to a commercial brand. I am not even talking about consumer choices like whether to shop at Amazon. I am talking about publicly visible choices like clothing, cars, watches. To suggest that these should communicate ones political alignment or disalignment is to buy into the idea of brand as identity.

I find that if I just eat less, I start to feel sickly and unhealthy. I learned recently that when you lose weight, like 25% of it ends up being from muscle loss. Started lifting weights and eating extra protein while I diet, and it feels great, much easier. I feel energetic and healthy and the lack of food doesn’t bother me so much.
