I remember when I was a young child one of my favorite things to do on a computer was… Entering numbers into Excel.

I don’t know if this is a good idea, but I’ve been thinking of the idea of giving an old air-gapped computer with Linux to a potential young child of mine.
Therefore, they can tinker around, play with educational software, maybe even learn some terminal stuff, all without the dangers of the Internet.
Because you’re coding “based on vibes,” not logical thought.
Using AI to generate code without fully understanding what the code is doing.

No it isn’t. OpenAI is losing tens of billions per year in net profit.
Could be worse. What about going to your car to drive you and your friends to a party, and then it being missing?

Can they even be removed with adb?

Nobody expects new Linux users to use the CLI though. For a normal user that just wants to run their software they will encounter this crap.
Balatro players: +15 chips and +2 mult to flushes

I’m curious, is this due to many unnecessary files operations (due to Windows 8 bloat), or because the file system sucks at scaling up file operations?

There’s no way thing thing would be safe to chase cars/motorcycles

Instead of limiting the bikes’ speed, what’s stopping the government from simply enforcing a speed limit on the bike paths?

The problem is that the same forces that affect the US seem to affect everywhere. Look at the UK, even with their supposedly “center left” government they’ve lost arguably more freedom than the US in the form of the draconian KOSA, and will probably have a rightwing government next. The EU is trying to implement chat control. It unfortunately seems like authoritarianism all the way down, so I’ll just stay in the US and fight for liberty and justice for all.

Could be worse, some people park or put their hazards on for minutes at a time in the middle of a one lane one way road.

I’m talking about owning your own e-scooter. It’s not hard to gear up for the ride. Protected lanes with limited speeds are an ideal, but the truth is that you need bursts of more speed on most of our sprawling suburbs in the US.

Turning off Bluetooth only turns it off until tomorrow.
Next few weeks you’re headphones are randomly connecting and disconnecting to something and you don’t know why or how.
It’s not poker. It’s a deckbuilding game based on poker hands.
Pirate it if you want. You will probably want to pay for it after a few hours.

It’s important for safety. Bike lanes are not common, and I don’t want to be stuck going 15mph on a road where the cars zoom past at 35mph or more.
Engineering explained did a video on something similar with the 3000hp Chinese hypercar, and his conclusion was that you’d need to be going something like 175mph (280kph) to be able to use full power without spinning the tires.
Thousands of horsepower in a car is a terrifying amount of power.
