  • Maybe ask your advocate to bring a nine along with you to the ER while giving birth in Florida (in Minecraft), maybe don’t*, but the medical teams there seem to think that they can do whatever TF they want and you might need something to influence them. Not a pregnant woman over here but so help me God, any doctor electing to subvert my agency by means of a court order had better be able to hide on the Moon, because it’s the only place they can run to escape me kicking them in the ass until something ruptures. Unbelievable, the fucking gall on the one of them to say “don’t get pregnant again” after specifically disregarding her wishes to not undergo another C-section…

    *I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice.

  • Worth noting, although I believe that OP’s on the right track, they’re missing an important sort of fine detail IMO;

    They won’t need camps or gas wagons to eradicate the disabled, whether this includes people with genetic mutations causing their illness or those who’ve been wounded by acute physical/viral/bacterial/parasitic illness, but can obtain the same desired end result by simply withdrawing and then withholding care. That’s it, a figurative twist/kinking of the hose that’s allocation of federal/state funding to public health. The poor and crippled will die in waves reminiscent of previous centuries where the church or sympathetic local doctors were their only relief, it’s going to be bad.

  • You joke, but I was talking to a friend about this just a few weeks ago. I always check both ways on one-way streets after almost getting struck by a taxi reversing at 50 km/h while I was crossing in front of a hotel, and coming within 1 ft. of crippling me. Never trust the signage, never trust the cars.

  • That’s legitimately insane, almost statistically improbable that you’d get your hands on it.

    Someone would have to first mix it into their pocket change, then spend it, then you would have to pay for your meal with a bill for a total which would see you returned 25¢ in your change before the restaurant closed out the cash register for the night, and deposited it at the bank. Anytime odd (older and discontinued, damaged, foreign) coinage cycles through a bank, it’s typically taken out of circulation or at least separated from that which is redistributed to clients.

    I’d jump for joy like a cartoon character if I was changed back a coin older than my Great-great Grandparents after snagging a burger.
