Thats always the problem with building hardware open source products. You spend millions developing the OS to work with your stuff and you get like six months before someone else is competing with you, except they didn’t have to spend that investment. The only reason we got the steamdeck was because the guys that made it ALSO owned the means of putting games on it, so they didn’t really need to make money on the product itself (kinda like with Google and the play store).
It SHOULD spell bad news for the people that use this verification method because it just means they lose those customers.

The more interesting tidbit is that this is actually pretty common. The prop house using real skeletons was actually pretty common and not unique to this production. The notable thing about this film was the sheer number of skeletons that they used, so they basically scooped up everything that was out there, and how much the live actors actually interacted with the skeletons. It wasn’t particularly unusual for skeletons to be used as props.
Really, just about any time you saw a skeleton on screen before the 90s or so, it was probably real. A lot of real world props and decorations also used real skeletons, sometimes to the surprise of the people using them. For example, if you rode the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney Land, you saw real human skeletons.
Seriously. I am perfectly happy to complain about the DNC all day long, and chiefly my complaints are that they are not different ENOUGH from the Republicans, but they are still pretty different in the sense that they aren’t actually interested in building concentration camps, murdering protestors, and literally destroying the few remaining parts of the country that actually function.

As far as I know almost no cruise ships are actually American flagged vessels and therefore are perfectly able to directly employ foreign nationals without citizenship or US work authorization. They aren’t even under the jurisdiction of ICE.
Disney ships are all Bahamanian flagged ships and have absolutely no obligation to employ American citizens.

The biggest weakness of fascism is always that it tends to attract a lot more idiots who want to steal money than true believers in the actual philosophy.
I think there is a bit of a hard limit on how much you can do with a show like this. Every single character has been “flanderized” (a term literally FROM the simpsons) to a point where they are complete one-dimensional caricatures, they have run out of organic stories from within the universe so they have to increasingly pull stories from the real world, but because its a network family show they have to make their conclusions “balanced” and that doesn’t work in a world as polarized as ours actually is.
That is why South Park still works, because it has a smaller audience and doesn’t have to pull a “balanced” view, they can actually take a position that would never fly on network television and therefore retain the approval of, at least, their core audience. The Simpsons has to keep from making anyone in the audience ANGRY and so therefore they cannot really please anyone either.
What is funny is that Australia is kinda notable as the only populated continent on earth without ANY large predators at all.
The DNC isn’t holding back progressives because it thinks they will lose. It is holding them back because they WILL WIN and the people that pay them don’t want to see them get elected. The fact that you haven’t figured this out tells me all I need to know about you.
His competition bowed out because the DNC pulled funding because something made them not worry about this guy being too progressive, his “reasonable excuse” is an obvious lie, and you are running on pure pathetic hopium because you are too fucking lazy to hold the party accountable for its part in this.

I am not sure what you are saying about “the primaries” but Platner is getting the party nomination without having to actually run in a primary. He is the only candidate from the party and will be on the ticket without a single person voting for him ahead of the election. Running unopposed candidates without a primary has worked out great for the DNC so far.
But yeah, I guess we get to do the experiment to see if a weak republican can lose to a nazi and if that somehow results in things being better for us.

The fact that TNG has this handful of objectively amazing episodes is what keeps it right on top of the whole history of the franchise. They weren’t all good, but when TNG was great it was REALLY great.
