Roman Catholicism was the state religion of the Roman empire (the America of its time), their own man-worshipping polytheistic creation (they’re Trinitarians, Jesus only worshiped the “Father”, not himself or the Spirit). All Christian denominations derive from it and have the same unstable foundations.

Bear in mind I’m not disregarding the Law and the prophets (and Jesus is one of my phone’s wallpapers, lol), just the Western heretical creation that forgoes duty and righteousness for “belief in Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour”, whatever the fuck that means. Jesus himself said that you have to work good deeds so you can please God, that you have to pursue perfection of character “just like the Father is perfect”, and that’ll he’ll reject many who claim to follow him (it ain’t enough to just say “Jesus, Jesus!”) so idk why Paulian creed so often supersedes it in Christian history but whatevs.

Christianity is literally a religion created by the America of its time, co-opting the image of Jesus, a “Jewish” monotheist anti-imperialist revolutionary, after they killed him and goddamn, hasn’t it worked wonders for Western leaders… Deus Vult remains strong to this day! 😭

I understand the feeling (don’t condone it, neither in you or me, but trust me, I understand it deeply) but you cannot morally justify putting a person’s life in danger because they’re annoying online. You can usually just block them too, you know? I mean, uhh, kinda? But sometimes people have important questions and aren’t just asserting things from ignorance and to stop them from participating would just keep them ignorant which isn’t very prosocial of us. If you want to participate and speak your mind and know almost nothing about the topic, I think the most honest and least annoying way to do so is to give everyone a disclaimer (“I’m very ignorant about this but I feel like…”).

Idk about talking about the Oscars and being interested in movies as a medium. Talking about the Oscars critically would require more knowledge about movies in the sense of “Hollywood is, at least today, just another Western grift”, their reasons for keeping the Oscars relevant and money-laundering schemes, lol.
