Autism@lemmy.world•Simple Good crafts to try? What do you enjoy?
10·4 months agoI tried out sewing recently. It’s very inexpensive to start by hand and I feel productive when mending clothing and fabrics around my place.
I go straight to 5 but I bring 2 and 4 with me

1·7 months agoI already have my own copy for Xbox 360, but just wanted to say Enslaved is a great (but admittedly flawed) game for anyone who hasn’t played it!

Fair point. Let’s add positively to the discussion then. An admittedly easy place to start is Google search. Here are some alternatives to try:
- Startpage
- DuckDuckGo (FYI partially uses Bing i.e., Microsoft)
- Ecosia
None of the above are perfect, but all are much better in terms of their impacts on others IMO.

2·9 months agoI haven’t seen mention of duckduckgo in this thread or related ones. I use it regularly and I don’t have too many issues with it. Anyone aware of concerns with it?

2·10 months agoNo, no, this sounds incredible!
Then you are not and never were an ally. I have “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo on my reading list. You might consider adding it to yours as well

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What 7/10 games do you love and appreciate the most?
3·11 months agoHonestly, I think playing it with a friend might even bump it to 8/10. I had a blast with it despite the lack of innovation and repetitiveness of the gameplay

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•It's that time of year again: what are your New Year's resolutions?
11·11 months agoSlow down, live in the present, and enjoy who and what I already have in my life. That includes being more forgiving to myself and others, worrying less about all of the possible things I could be doing (personally and professionally) and instead choosing one thing at a time to focus my energy on, and being more aware of my own thoughts and feelings, then expressing them in a healthy way.
Maggie’s Farm by RAtM is also a great cover

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Good ear protection for concerts.
2·1 year agoI own a pair of Etymotic ER20XS ear plugs and I like them. I haven’t had the chance yet to try them out at a concert, but I have worn them on other occassions. I think they’re reasonably comfortable and the sound quality is still good while wearing them.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Excluding all games you have seen mentioned by anyone on the internet, what is your favorite game?
2·1 year agoImage Fight on NES. It’s a top down scrolling shooter where you fly a space ship and pick up new weapons and attachments. I was terrible at it as a kid but I loved it and kept trying to progress further. I’ve thought about picking up a copy now but just haven’t gotten around to it
