Welp…that’s enough Internet today.

I’ve heard both, but one of my mentors when the cloud rush started called it a pancake stack and it stuck for me.
Interesting, now I need to do some subtle questioning and see if they are iPhone users. I really appreciate the new knowledge and perspective!
A couple people at work use the white/black emojis instead of the yellow. I don’t know why, but it always seems weird to me that you took the extra time to select your race.
There is actually a “show NSFW content” toggle on your user settings. Just click the pancake stack in the top corner of the page, expand the arrow next to your username, then click the settings gear.
Also your username is spot on for your comment!

Relationship Advice@lemmy.world•My abuelo doesn’t understand my mental health, friend defends himEnglish
22·7 个月前I don’t know anything about your life or situation so please take this with a massive grain of salt.
Your grandpa may be a victim of a time when men were absolutely not allowed to have mental health struggles.
Seriously, I know some of us can’t even fathom that, but it simply wasn’t allowed.
There was no understanding, there was no conversation, and if you attempted to discuss the subject you would be met with very abrasive and inaccurate advice that is the equivalent of “suck it up” or “anxiety and depression are made up” as I am sure you have seen a lot of this still exists today.
I know this isn’t advice on how to repair or improve the relationship, but it might give you some small insight as to why he may be reacting this way. We may not be able to fix the older generations (not that we should give up), but if we keep normalizing talking about our struggles maybe the next generation will be healthier than us. It’s a small move, but in my life so far I feel like I have seen changes I never would have thought possible in adult men mental health.
Source: not a grandpa, but I make a lot of noise when I stand up from a comfortable chair.
I would rather have two burgers rather than a super tall or wide burger.

Wait…everyone doesn’t do that?
Part of my job is to process user feedback. The amount of times that I get opposing comments like this is wild. Sometimes the comment is subjective, but sometimes they are outright sharing opposing facts. It definitely keeps life interesting!

I asked how we were doing to deal with tariffs on electronics we regularly used a while back and was quietly told that was a political statement and shouldn’t be brought up.
Now we have no plan and I’m too bummed to be smug about it.
Again, this is just my anecdotal view.
I am almost certain that this is incorrect, but I always feared my boots would tear up my feet if I lost my callouses.
I think this is called a pumice stone, but I have never used one.
