Backed by the US, Australia has been increasingly asserting its power in the Indo-Pacific region. Has this strategy served it well?

Anything that starts with “backed by the US” isn’t anything you want to put your money on right now. We’re a long way from either Europe or the US, and with the US a failed state and Europe dealing with Russia’s bullshit I wouldn’t rely on massive amounts of help from either if we needed it. I’m sure Australia’s war gamers are taking that into account.

Well, of course I know him. He’s me. I haven’t gone by the name of Obi-Wan “middle-power” since, oh, before you were born.
