This is kind of incoherent @wikipedia - it’s written from an American point of view and doesn’t make clear at all what Britain’s and France’s war was in the first place - it needs an introduction that would précis the whole thing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-French/War/(1778%E2%80%931783)
Bring it up in the edits.
The lead in is very poorly written, the next section “Background” seems fine though.
@Cheradenine I don’t know enough about that war; it seems to haul in America from the outside, though - very confusing
The overweight rambling lead is unfortunately a bit of a common problem. I would do something to fix it (this is one of my usual topics) but alas I’m not keen to blow my cover here! It might get a tidy-up if you lobby for it hard enough on the talk page. Alternatively, consider doing it yourself, just make sure to announce your plans first.
