now imagine if in the future trump or the US do end up annexing us, or at least demanding who they deem a threat from our side of border to be charged in the US. they could literally take homeless people and the “mentally ill” or anyone they deem a “threat” and ship them over to put them in fucking work camps. now with our online profile fully in view of the US, and palantir (FOREVER), they could demand “domestic threats” be sent over. removing would be resistors to the trump regime take over, before they want to annex us for good. and classify them as mentally ill, and then force them to work as slaves in their work camps, or worse. even if thats not what they are planning, they could use our data to create extremely targeted misinformation campaigns and have canadians continue to vote against their interests in the future.

(mainly) conservative premiers wanted cheap labour during covid because most of us were in lockdown, we also have an ageing population and low birth rate. and they wanted business to function and grow, supplemented by a foreign workforce. they petitioned the fed to let more immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, temp workers and students in to fill the gaps, going so far as to lie about their ability to house them efficiently. fed delivered. it pumped the economy, available housing shrunk, wages stagnated. when we recovered post covid. conservatives started blaming the fed as if it was all their plan the whole time when the cracks started showing, taking zero responsibility. this is the main reason why trudeau, our former PM was so unpopular. eventually he quit, passed it off to Carney who eventually was elected over populist maple maga PP, because he said he would fight trump. the NDP (further left than the liberals) shrunk to unofficial party status (losing federal funding) because “Carney was our best shot” and now we have a functionally two party system as a result. Carneys politics as a “center left liberal” also shifted the overton window further right.
hes a banker, and is the richest PM in canadian history, and is currently passing laws for “nation building projects” that allow big business to step over first nations rights, and citizens rights as well (bill c-5). building things like cross provincial pipelines that further push us towards climate collapse. because neoliberalism demands environmental sacrifice at the altar of profit and the fairytail of infinite growth.
Carney is merely another puppet of the international oligarch elite, put in place to smash and grab resources and our rights, before class conciousness can rear its head and destroy the status quo, and systems of capitalism that aim to destroy democracy and the planet. he put his stock holdings in a “blind trust” as a show of good faith, but is actively invested in american corps and holdings, and the trust, isnt entirely blind. meaning he can change policy to enrich himself and friends further.
his smiles and winks are supposed to trick us into thinking he has some grandmaster plan up his sleeve to deal with trump. but he and virtually every other politician alive never represent the will of the people, just the will of the elite. its a big fucking show.
