As an American I hate both of these things now.

Propaganda is bad, and the State should be in the business of making propagandists lives hard, not of hiring them.
Propaganda is not inherently bad. Its just political speech with intent to persuade.
It depends what the propaganda is, who it serves, what the motivation is, etc etc.
Advertising is basically propaganda for companies for you to buy their products for instance. There’s politics in their agenda top to bottom.
Edit: Also to add a competent government would absolutely have propagandists on the payroll to promote all the good things they are doing for the people.

Not just state department propaganda, but propaganda of dead state. 🌚
Also, I just today happened onto a tankie meme claiming that social democracy is moderate wing of fascism. 🌚🌚
