    There is no record that she was disciplined, suspended, or forced out because of her identity. Authorities have not linked her death to bullying, discrimination, or transphobia

    Crazy apologist logic. Trans people always experience transphobia, irrespective of whether it’s overt or institutionalized. There’s no need to explicitly link a trans person wanting to end their life to that. It’s ever present.

      Neither I nor the article is saying discrimination didn’t happen.

      I’m merely pointing out the dangers of clinging to an acute cause—a single event that motivated the tragedy. Maybe there is one, but it’s just as likely it was the sum of many small cuts over her life.
