Six weeks ago, I was elected to Congress. I’m still waiting to be sworn in.

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s recess of the U.S. House of Representatives during a time of grave national crises is shockingly irresponsible. House Republicans have been on vacation for six weeks while our economy crumbles, federal workers go without paychecks, health care premiums skyrocket and funding for food stamps dwindles. This is negligent and cruel.

This isn’t owning the libs. It’s politicking. What incentive do they have to confirm this person?

The incentive is upholding liberty & justice as our elected officials. Our country has a representative government. This person was elected by the people. Anyone standing in the way of that is standing against the US.

And their argument would be “if liberty & justice and representative government is so important, then allow us to reopen the government”. To me, this is just basic politics.

I mean I wouldn’t doubt it, but that’s not what I was getting at. That’s one instance we’re you may be right in a hypothetical we can’t confirm.

You’re all over this thread with both sides bullshit without anything to back it up and downplaying Republicans evil, all willfully.

              We can see you.

Funny how many words you have to say just to avoid saying “you’re right”.

I am offering an opinion. You can agree or disagree. Saying I’m wrong is just offering your opinion as though it is a fact when it’s just another opinion.

I think there’s plenty of evil shit Republicans do, this just doesn’t feel like it registers to me. Specifically as a result of the government shut down.

You can believe, distort, and cherry pick what you want by all means, but no one is going to take you seriously when you do it.

Certainly nobody looking for the echo chamber is going to take me seriously. I’m fine with that.
