I like how she shows the process but her routine looks whack. How is it even getting dry all squashed in a bun and why not scrunch with the shirt after getting out of the shower?
I’m not making a video ever but what works for my (coarse, low porosity and very slow drying) 2c (mix of waves and curls) hair is:
Wash with gentle shampoo not conditioner.
Condition and rinse it out
Comb styling cream through very wet hair, first parted and down as though I am styling it straight, then upside down to loosen it from the scalp (it remembers the part) then scrunch in curl activator styling foam. This establishes definition.
Scrunch with microfiber towel and then wrap my hair in it, more like a plop than a twist, so it’s out of my way while I get ready.
When I let it down, it looks great, defined and curly. But I know my hair (and ride a bike to work) it needs more hold. I put gel in by rubbing it between my palms and gently clapping my hands in my hair then gently scrunching. Then a few minutes with the diffuser, either pushing the hair up or just pointing it at my head (depending on what it seems to need) I don’t have time to get it all the way dry.
Honestly it looks ok at work but So Good in the evening when I do this in the morning. Like it takes all day to get all the way dry. First it’s like drowned rat, then seems stretched out, then eventually finds its way back to curly.
Some times the only way to know is to put the scientific method into action and try it yourself
