Like I had to block a com that was just some guy with a bot reposting a bunch of shit from Reddit, because it kept shoeing up in my all feed. I’m curious, because I bet that has to be the most blocked com on Lemmy. But yeah probably followed by a bunch of hexbear coms. The nsfw can be toggled without blocking right?

I’ve been feeling more and more that I want to quit the internet almost entirely.
Like you can’t get away from it completely and gaming is still fun but all of the social aspects have either become slop or incredibly toxic.
Naturally, the Facebook app simply pushes a lot more unwanted content it recommends based on one’s usage patterns.
Honestly, is this a bad thing? It’s so easy to get lost in the cacophony of internet noise that being able to identify the intent of a post is kinda helpful.
