      hugs

I really dislike employers who leave employees hanging. 🤬You’ve done your work. They should pay. It’s not your problem how they do it. And it’s a moral issue too, people have families and bills. You do not know if children will go hungry pr without medical care. It’s just unacceptable.

The butcher in Northcote Plaza has ‘volcano’ sausages that are the absolute bomb! Loaded with chili and fennel seeds, each individual sausage is about golf ball sized. They are AMAZING!

    Dinner is done.

I made pasta al limone, with fried salmon and a salad with lemon-yoghurt dressing. It was rather tasty. I’ve been trying to do more pasta sauces that are not tomato based, this definitely fits the bill.

Nice, very good presentation. My original plan was to flake the salmon through the pasta, but I decided a flake-as-you-go approach would be simpler.

I’m annoyed I got rid of a cooling elevated mesh pet bed that was too high for Melbcat to comfortably step up onto. This furry lil dude could have used it.

    spoiler

Trying to work out how to rig some shade cloth or shade sails that won’t cause damage with weight/a gust of wind and don’t count as a ‘fixture’. As a bonus it would shade the window.

I considered one of those big freestanding umbrellas but they are quite expensive, bulky and too heavy for me to move or assemble.

We got doggo a cooling mat. The most he’s done is stick a paw on it. Maybe melbcat will like something like that?

New guy in the costumer service team at work. I think I remember seeing him being interviewed. I wonder if he’ll last longer than the other woman that just left one morning. He’s young so I think he’ll take to it pretty well.

He’s also really tall, like really tall. I wonder if I should tell him that? I wonder if anyone’s pointed it out to him before?

      Everyone has pointed it out.

An old job loading containers we’d actively try to break the new guys because the faster we worked the more down time we got. Some guys were fit for it, some guys just weren’t. Best I ever got was a guy who left at morning tea after doing 1/3 of the days work. I got paid double that day to do both our jobs.

It was a bit of a joke, every tall person is very aware they’re tall.

I had a similar job one time. I had an occasional job putting bladders into shipping containers to turn them into giant goon bags for bulk liquid transport. I’d go in and do a couple of shipping containers myself in the morning, the manager would put a few extra hours down for free for me, then I’d start my afternoon shift at Big W

There is no shame to be had. You are doing what you have to, and the money will be back in theirs as soon as it hits your account. Its nothing you’ve done and beyond your control.

There’s no shame, it’s keeping the water and lights on that they also use and you’ll pay it back.

I’m wondering if Mr P is contributing to the household expenses. Because now would be a great time

All he knows is the money has gone from his account. There was an industry outage affecting merchant payments to external accounts earlier this week, so it’s been caught up in that somehow.

      Vaccination done.

First there was a huge fight for him to take his sedative, he nipped me and chucked up.

At the vet the nurses tried to pat him, even after we said not to. he did not like it. But then they wrapped him up in a towel and gave him his shot near his bum. So success. 🙂 Right now he’s still a bit wobbly and is resting.

So for Ted the past week has been good. He weighed in at 1.25 kg less than a year ago, he’s had his fur trimmed and brushed so no more mats and knots and had his shots. 😻😻😻
