One OPD officer logged 5,242 total working hours, racking up $490,000 in overtime pay. If he worked more than half of the time in a calendar year, why can't the city tell us what he did?
A lot of them do. Pretty common tactic is to save the paperwork from the day till the very end of the day, “whoa it’s me I have all of this paperwork to do” and then just rake in the overtime.
This dude likely abused the system more but it’s not like it’s that odd.
