Meanwhile someone casually remade Morrowind in Elden Ring already.
They didn’t really remake it so much as oort the terrain map and textures into Elden Ring
Sure but it gets the job done. I mean it’s not like Skywind is a graphic marvel either because of it’s own limitations of being a skyrim mod. Gameplay wise Morroring seems much more interesting too. It gets a magnitude of attention more than Skywind these days and it’s pretty obvious why.
Did you even watch the video? Skywind definitely is a major graphical upgrade from the original Morrowind. Is it going to be the most beautiful thing ever made? No, but compared to the original Morrowind or the elden ring mod, it looks fucking amazing.
But Skywind isn’t just a graphical overhaul. They’re completely remaking the game, with new SFX, voice acting, etc. The projects are on such a different scope and scale that they’re hardly even comparable.
Actually watching the video helps.
That seems to be more like a technical POC, if we are talking about the same guy.
While this is impressive by itself, the gritty time- and resource-consuming process of creating all the content for an actual remake just begins after that…
