Wait…
What happens if you take the cat out of the box then ?
Good old “don’t judge a book by its cover”
Some books have names that don’t evocate much, a tame cover and end up being smut books. Quick search brings up “Normal people”. Unassuming title and cover, you might guess romance, but quoting an article mentioning it “The sex scenes in this one really do jump off the page”.
You might not want your 10-13 y/o reading about that just yet…Some other might have toxic ideas, graphic depiction of violence, or lots of things you might want a teen to not read just yet.

Sounds like a solid rec for her usecase :)
I don’t know how I should feel about getting this joke
Excuse my lack of culture, but what’s the BOB on the graph before 98 ?

12·6 months agoCould Fairphone count as a “Major” Android OEM ?
They do use snapdragon chips, are priced roughly the same as the pixels, and might align the most with a project like Graphene and its values ?
One can dream…

2·6 months agoI ended up going with Crowdsec.
The setup was a bit of a challenge as I like to do it the RTFM way abd that there is a bunch of concepts to grasp before you really understand what you are doing, but since then it’s been working pretty great ! And it’s free (as in you are providing them with data on the occurence of threats etc, so you don’t pay)

9·9 months agoI’m properly in awe at this project. Not only does it support a wide range of protocols and runs practically everywhere, but it can play audio, video, display images and has keyboard shortcut support ???
It’s got everything I could think about and so much more.
I can’t wait to try it out !
Thank you so much for your time and for making this open source.

304·9 months agoHopefully (?) this is the start of a trend and people might begin to realize how all those products are not worth their price and AI is an overhyped mess made to hook users before exploiting them…
Slowly, but surely, we are pushing pride to its final form : The Pride Year.
As it should be.

24·1 year agoI find this baffeling. Multiple people, on different topics did disagree with his campaigns promises, and voted for him against their best interest. (Farmers for exemple) Their justification ? “He won’t do it”. Are you telling me you are voting for someone who promises to do things, in the hope that he does all the other things but the one that would negatively impact you ? REALLY ?!

Oh but I have them !
Every day an email is sent out with the backup status.
Every day I got my email in the morning with the back up logs.
For years.
I associated email received to backup successful, until a month or so when my vpn broke and the emails where just “could not connect”, but it took me a while to bother actually opening the message body as it had always been the same for years.
So I’ll manage it differently, have the email subject be more explicit about a success or a failure amongst other things.
Always learning :^)
