I refuse to buy a handheld that is not SteamOS. Like Nintendo, they can basically just brick your device, and online functionality requires a monthly subscription.

Also, we know Microsoft will eventually do something to mess this all up.

With SteamOS, we can fork and change it and have access to our entire Steam libraries. I have had Steam my whole life and only played PC. Why would I even bother with anything else?

Anyway, will most probably be shit. 99% of series these days are bad and just money grabs.

You are supporting the development and technology. That is the great thing about the Fediverse, you go where you want to be, but can reach out to other isolated communities and take the parts that you want and need.

The developers of Lemmy created this specific platform and are improving it. Since Mastodon started, everyone wanted a Reddit replacement, we now have it.

From the Fediverse I have now made life long friends and we have private Matrix chats. Without servers with sepcific communities, I would never have met them.

What I don’t understand, is what I would need and use it for? Never in my life I thought “damn if only I had a screen recording of everything I did 1 week, 1 month or 1 year ago”. Like I don’t get the use case, ignoring anything else. There is no use case.

I can view my terminal history and my recently accessed files. I have version control with git where I want and need it.

Why do people want vertical tabs? It feels as if it just takes up more space, and my muscle memory after all these years makes me move to the top. I always go back to horizontal tabs after using vertical tabs for a day.
