I keep chromium as a secondary if something breaks on Firefox. It’s the foundation of chrome without all the silly Google shit.
Thank you for sharing.

I believe an others have said a nice 1 or 2tb SSD that is PCI based should help out. Picking up an additional 16GB of ram isn’t necessary but neither is any of this and would likely let your system last even longer. There’s also a good chance your b450 motherboard supports newer x3d variants of the 5000 series ryzen CPUs through a BIOS upgrade. If you have a microcenter you can try to snag one of the 5600x3d processors or snag a used 5800x3d or maybe one on sale.
I’m in an interesting camp because I mainly reside in apple land, except for my desktop and tablet. I have the galaxy tab s7 plus and that thing is all I could ask for out of a tablet. As a media consumption device it does one thing well and that’s emulation. I love using an 8bitdo controller with it too.

I think that it’s a little dodgy not guaranteeing a review. That’s probably why it’s not considered a payment for services and instead a “donation”. Ultimately it comes down to what you value your time and platform at, but still not providing a service for the fee is scummy.

Android@lemmy.world•How do in-store battery replacements work for Pixels?English
1·2 年前I assume they can do this and I think they plan on something like it (pretty sure I heard this from Mishaal Rahman on a podcast). But yeah the way pixel devices come apart is way more granular which is a good thing but can end up in more issues from things breaking. Google doesn’t have the best rack record with build quality unfortunately.

5·2 年前I’d like to piggy back in this. I worked for Asurion and Assurant Both are authorized for Google in warranty and insurance repairs. They have to have your device factory reset. Google claims this is a security measure which it is to a degree but it’s mostly because the pixel diagnostic suite requires full access to the biometrics on the device.

2·2 年前I have no idea, I feel like the screen would be tough as it’s pressed with glass and the keyboard is riveted in I believe. It would probably be more doable for older iBooks and MacBooks that are plastic.
