  • From personal experience knowing someone who posted that stuff just to get a reaction out of people: he was beat by his dad (who then divorced his mom because she produced “that”) and was severely bullied in high school. It’s not an excuse, he just desperately wanted the world to feel as miserable as he did.

He showed me a video of someone being shot in the head once. Mind you, I’m the kind of person that breaks down when I accidentally run over an animal or hear a bird splat on a high-rise window. He thought it was okay to show me without my consent because the guy lived, but didn’t understand that violence, pain, and disfigurement are just as traumatizing as death.

He diagnosed himself with Anti-social PD while taking a psychology class, take that however you wish

  • This is going to sound crazy, but I’ve recently learned that sensory overload triggers my migraines. I have that xppen and don’t use it because it isn’t as smooth as my iPad. It causes more sensory input to my brain, if that makes sense.

Your Bluetooth headphones might be heavier than others or exerting some pressure on you that is triggering your headaches. My ANC headphones do that to me because they need a tight seal around my ears to properly block out sound.

  • I don’t think what I said contradicts what you said. I live in north central Montana. I just didn’t know the bison were classified as livestock, that’s all :)

What I’ve seen is ranchers pushing for more time and more herd allowance on public lands while western ecologists and native ecologists fight to restore the balance. It’s not just cows that people are fighting over. The ranchers hands also been pushing for beaver culls because they can cause hazards for the cattle. But culling the beavers and increasing the herd sizes has had cascading effects on ecosystems, especially regarding excess nitrogen in our waterways. MSU-N did a multi-year study on Beaver Creek and held a lecture on the results, and they invited the local park council to sit in (hoping they’d learn something). It visibly upset the ranchers, one even tried to argue with the professor that presented the data. To them it’s all an assault on their livelihood.

I’m not even going to go into the effects their grass mixes have been having. It’s all a hot fucking mess, and I think what American Prairie is doing is admirable
