For this community yes, but I think the over-dramatising works against the wider acceptance of DEI practices. Most people have never even had an article written about them, those people still have personhood, so does this lady. From that perspective it comes off as entitled and decoupled from reality. Who wants to listen to someone acting unhinged on social media?

Obviously, removing the section is wrong, and we should have these articles to highlight the achievements of women in male dominated fields. Plus highlighting that it’s been removed by the vile actions of the trump administration is important

  • Life isn’t black and white, neither are people. The people in this thread aren’t disagreeing with your beliefs and condone genocide as much as you do. But you’re not being charitable in your interpretations and are immediately meeting them with hostility.

The more hostile you are, the more people get their guards up, and the more you drive them away from your cause

  • It’s not the content of your comments, it’s the way they’re worded. You speak with an aggressive and accusatory tone that isn’t conducive to discussion.

If you just word things a little softer, I’m sure you’ll have many people agree with you, and avoid any future bans.

I know things can get heated and emotional, and it gets to all of us at times. It takes effort and self reflection to avoid getting unnecessarily worked up

  • That reply is pretty measured considering the topic of women’s preferences was already set. They weren’t going out of their way to hate on women.

People can be pretty shallow creatures, men and women alike. So obviously, whilst money or beauty is not the be all and end all, it allows people to make a better first impression and pass some initial filters. Denying that is just deluding yourself.

Obviously there are always going to be exceptions, some people are actively repulsed by wealth or the current beauty standards

  • This meme is just perpetuating two harmful ideas:

    1. Reinforcing the expectation that black men have huge dongers

    2. That donger size matters and is a measure of self worth

You’ll notice that whilst point 2 affects all men, point 1 is more harmful to black men, as they hold their body to a higher unrealistic standard. Plus it’s part of the creepy fetishization of “exotic” people.

Tying people disliking these concepts to them being “pale” is just kinda weird, dismissive, and frankly plain racist.

I’m not personally offended by the post, and haven’t downvoted it, I just hate seeing the closed minded and unempathetic mindset that your comment demonstrates

  • I 1000% agree, the asset class won’t give up their wealth. But to say it won’t happen because it’s not possible is wrong.

It won’t happen because a small minority of ludicrously privileged individuals, who treat the Forbes Billionaires list as a leaderboard, are too fucking greedy to only live an amazingly luxurious life instead of a ultra super duper amazingly luxurious life.

I think it’s downvoted because of a defeatist attitude. I agree with the highly downvoted top comment on a factual level, I’m not sure who wouldn’t
