To be fair he has done a lot for economics, but he is far from infallible.

I wonder how much of it is Chinese parts and materials being assembled in Mexico?

I use Firefox all day on both Mac and Windows and this rarely happens. It does seem to happen on Linux for me sometimes though.

Today there was a page on my bank that just would not load in Firefox even though the rest of the site was fine. Switched to Chrome and it worked fine. I only use Chrome in these situations.

I have a BananaPi M3 and the software support was horrific. Getting a kernel to compile with the hacked drivers and firmware was like black magic.

The UAC prompts were over the top. To me that was the worst part. They were toned down to a more reasonable level in every version after. But I agree otherwise.
