I only signed up since it was one of the few instances allowing registration at the time of a big reddit exodus. Just haven’t made too many new accounts in other instances yet but yes, the community is in an echo chamber.
It’s not AI, it’s from the specialized EVO ad campaign like 5 years ago.

Bill Nye is an entertainer / educator. I’ve met plenty of people with PHDs and masters who couldn’t present a basic concept because they’re too caught up in technicalities and not understanding what it’s like to teach and get people interested in something.

It was the first thing on their website for a bit but the Minnesota assassination took over shortly afterwards. For the rest of the day it was still on the homepage. But looks like it has fallen off a couple days after.

Growing up, I’d occasionally tear up over a sad movie.
Now that I’m older, I seek out movies that tend to be depressing and tragic. Watching them alone let’s me express a level of empathy or grief that is almost therapeutic. Most mainstream movies that are deemed sad may still only get me to slightly tear up like the past. But I’ve encountered enough indy or slightly lesser know films that fly under the radar and they make me ugly cry.
Being in a vulnerable mindset kind of helps because there are moments where I could probably fight it mentally and hold back my reaction. But if I allow myself to let go, then it’s full on sobbing.
Recent movies that had that effect on me are Drawing Closer, and How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.
It’s not always empathy, somethings its a personal element where I relate to someone on screen and I use them as a conduit to express the emotions I might normally suppress or stoicly ignore.

No, it must be from the ass.

I think only about 25% of tire materials are natural. The rest are synthetic rubber, resins and fillers, then metal.

If we just assume women’s lives are dependent on us not approaching them, then it’s a win win for everyone.
Maybe it’s a commentary about how the human body is beautiful but breast are supported by man made objects like this board (bras) and it distracts from the beauty. Just a first stab. Art pieces like this are meant to provoke thought.

Project Borealis is a fan led spiritual successor. Unfortunately it’s been a slow moving thing for a while. Suppose if this is about patient gaming, might as well be patient about it in case it ever comes out.
I haven’t explored other options yet but after DMing I’ve definitely started to make homebrew rules to try and take some of the silly rules out of the picture. Some RAW stuff and playing with rules lawyers really takes the fun and momentum out of trying to get newbies into the moment. Also doesn’t help when some folks have terrible attention spans.

Technically this happened is 2023. Insane nonetheless.

Most bikes that retail for more than $600 or so will likely be very repairable. Department store bikes where the stem is integrated and has cheap components are harder to repair in that the parts typically just need to be replaced when they stop working and the metal used is so soft they tend to get chewed up easily as soon as you start working on it.
The parts will likely be held together using a combination of hex or torx bolts and very few if any use of Phillips screws. That can be a sign of a bike that is hard to repair if they’re cheaping out on parts. That being said there are some bikes made of steel and large bolts and nuts which are designed for rugged use and ease of repair in 3rd world countries.
Watching YouTube videos on bike repairs like park tools or some of the Berm Peak flip bike videos can get you an idea of what bike repair entails and some red flags.

First time I saw this online people seemed pretty convinced the dude just lost a sports bet and this is the loser’s prize.

Is collaborating with another party a bad thing here? Is there a specific type of collaboration you’re referring to? That’s a strange thing to lump in to an argument. This is the kind of partisan bullshit that got us here. A completely dysfunctional system where any cooperation between the two parties is viewed as corruption if not fully aligned with a single party’s interest.
If the collaboration was to harm the general public, then that’s a different story. But a general statement just adds to the vitriol.
Wore glasses for almost my whole life. Never touch them with your hands, don’t splatter foods when eating, position them so your lashes don’t touch them if possible. I always keep some microfiber cloths and lens cleaning solution at my desk.
But got lasik over a year ago. Sure the dry eyes are a pain in dry weather, but it’s nicer than not having to worry about smudging my glasses. Also, even though there is some light flaring at night if my eyes are dry, it’s not as bad as when I get them with glasses that have microscratches on them.
I still notice when other people who have glasses have smudges all over them and they seem to not be bothered by it. Even I’m bother by seeing it imagining how bad everything must look. Hell, even a speck of dust annoys me while wearing glasses if it’s in the right spot.
There were replies between the messages so the notifications wouldn’t show messages that were already considered read. Just seemed scripted. Unless the wife was the one who sent the first 2 replies.
Not worth getting hung up on authenticity though since there will never be a way to prove if it’s wrong or real. I just try to appreciate the humor and assume it was faked either way.
Seriously, I love aubergines. If my super market stops carrying it I will just get it elsewhere.
