Still I take it from what you’re saying that there were also no female custodian characters over the years, right? It doesn’t help the misconception but it isn’t the same as saying there aren’t any.
Yeah it’s the same when you have a complaint that aligns with the bigots. Like the female custodes debacle. I don’t care what gender the marines are, but I do think GW handled it poorly.
If they had just had… Idk the mechanicus find some relic that allowed women recruits to survive the upgrade to space marine, primaris, and custodes, and had them deliver a sick ‘more bodies for the war’ line, it would’ve been better.
Saying that does feel icky because there are people who are just against women being marines and custodes. I’m not. If GW did it better, I’d have nothing to say and the bigots would still be bigots.

I wash all my band shirts in a washing machine at 40C with only color detergent and no fabric softener. I hang dry the tshirts on hangers instead of folding them over the clothes line or using clothes pins. Absolutely no dryer outside of whatever the washing machine does.
It works pretty well. The real secret is to have about 30 of them so you don’t wash them every week.
Edit: like another commenter said, wash your clothes inside out.
When I have a rough day or don’t sleep well the night before, I take a 30 minute ‘nap’ when I get home after work. It’s strictly 30 minutes.
It doesn’t matter if I fall asleep or not, it’s a strict 30 minute limit. I set a timer and I stand up when it rings. This lets me turn an otherwise completely wasted evening into something salvageable. Then, I can have a regularly active evening - I cook, play games, paint, whatever.
I don’t really have trouble falling asleep after that at the regular time, or maybe an hour late. I do struggle sometimes to ‘boot up’ after the nap, and it doesn’t always help (mostly when I don’t actually fall asleep) but it has worked for me more times than not.
Also, I drink a LOT of coffee - way too much. This is what works for me.

One memory that kept popping up occasionally over the years is of my mother lending my neighbor my favorite matchbox car. By the time I’d gotten to him, he’d crushed it. I don’t think he meant anything by it, and I don’t have bad feelings to either one of them, I just know how much that sucked. I do remember that nobody gave a shit, and I never got it replaced.
Late last year I decided I was gonna get it back, so I’ve spent a few hours spread over some months when I was bored at my pc looking at matchbox size red Dodge Vipers from the 90s. Most had the wrong color, or extra decals, or the wrong wheels, etc. Eventually I found it, ordered a copy, and it got delivered about a month ago. I don’t play with it, but it sits on my desk at home as a sort of fidgeting toy.
I’m sure it says some bad shit about my psyche but to me it’s a nice reminder of a time when I was much happier. Maybe I should get some beyblades.

I completely agree. What’s more, none of my hobbies have a lot of posts. I myself am an occasional poster at best and I’m not interested in being one of at most 4 people posting in those communities. I’m thinking about finding a third party or otherwise foss or just better reddit client and just browsing.
Lastly, it’s fucking impossible to avoid politics on lemmy, american politics especially. Even in communities that I wouldn’t say are explicitly political, people find ways to squirm in some bullshit. I’m tired, boss. Mostly I’m tired of people being ugly to each other.
