Even if most of those trying it out eventually go back to Windows, this is still great for Linux!

I had a vest from these guys for when id motorcycle in winter on the west coast.

discreetly? before being 100% work from home, i used to stream my tv with plex with my tablet on my desk. I’d usually just put one earbud in and leave the other ear to hear people if they needed me.
In highschool however (back in the late 90s) i used to listen to music from my walkman by fishing the corded earbuds from my pants pocket and in thru my sleeve. I’d hold the earbuds in my hand and the oversized hoodie sleeve would conceal everything perfectly. I’d rest my head in my hand with the earbuds and I’d look like any other student getting their work done.
You mentioned your generation so ill put myself as xennial.
I dont use tobacco at all. Never seen the appeal of it myself.
I have a beer on occasion and sometimes use wine in cooking.
I use weed regularly for sleep and shoulder pain

GOBBLESS YA SON

If you were, not anymore. That’s what I’m calling it from now on.
Always convenient when the trash takes itself out.

Sure. “Costumes”.

Classic sleepy Don.

Same. played it at launch on PC. i might have been one of the lucky ones. No real show stoppers as far as glitches went.

Ah gotcha. I’m kind of enjoying just hanging with regular people being regular on mastodon. Probably check out bluesky at some point.
Thanks for the info!

Haven’t been following Blue sky stuff at all. Any reason to use this over mastodon?
It’s not a gaming specific OS, but ive been running Pop!_OS on my main PC for just about 3 years now with mostly successes. Steam runs great with proton and i use bottles for the rest of it (gog, battle.net, uplay, etc)
My joint walks go right by the gas station. so its either a chocolate bar or a bag of sunchips (french onion or cheddar) If i skip the gas station, i destroy all the leftovers and end up having nothing to bring for lunch tomorrow at work.

Right on, I rejoined IRC during the COVID shutdowns. It’s just nice to be chatting somewhere where a company isn’t flooding me with advertisements and/or harvesting my data (that I can tell at least).

That’s some OG shit there! I still remember my number. It was an 8 digit haha

I hear you. When I was a teen, Internet was:
A handful of focused websites or your buddies geocities / angelfire site.
Chatting in crazy chat rooms on IRC, and having your close friends on ICQ.
Using a dial up modem to play doom, Warcraft 2, red alert, duke nukem, quake, StarCraft, total annihilation… etc.
Those were fun times. Felt like the bleeding edge of tech… hiding out and having fun in places people haven’t even heard of.

Pop OS is the whole reason I stayed on linux :) Lots of failed linux experiments in its wake previous to that haha
But hey! No pressure.
