48·2 months agoI grew up in Portsmouth, England. Some my friends would come to school from the Isle of Wight on the hovercraft service. We all thought the hovercraft was pretty cool, but I only recently found out that it’s the only commercially operated hovercraft in the whole world.
Stable and prosperous? She started with a civil war and ended by being conquered by Rome. The bit in the middle wasn’t stable either.
If it were an option, then it might be better to selfishly keep good relations with the US. But Trump will always try to extract as much as possible, regardless of ‘good relations’. So the choice is really between helping Ukraine or not, knowing the US will be the same either way.

231·2 years agoIt’s not a linear scale from light to dark. There are three constituents: tea, milk and water. A weak cup of tea with a little milk looks different from a strong cup with a decent amount of milk. This should be a ternary plot.
The UK quite often sees words switch around in how posh they are. This is because most people want to sound posher than they really are, while the actual posh people have nothing to prove and want to seem down-to-earth. See U and non-U English.




That’s true. I’ve heard here that edges (especially corners) are better in this regard. So in this example the top cell seems like the definite best choice.
EDIT: One thing I didn’t mention in my post is that the cells away from the solved region have an even better safety probability of 80.1%. So the best move might well be to simply start fresh in a new corner.
