You can only get rotated about an axis in 3D, in 4D you get rotated about a plane (a better framing is, you always rotate within a plane in any dimension - because it takes 2 axes to have a rotation)
(sure i’m fun at parties whadyamean?)

2·2 months agoEven if you do pirate Minecraft trying to use mods or do anything with it at this point is so beyond painful that it’s not even worth it. Microsoft has made it a mess.
??? This is absolutely not true at all. The modding situation is better than it has ever been, in part thanks to mojang making the game’s underlying systems more modular & extensible to facilitate modding, as well as deobfuscating the game’s code.
The only thing you’re giving up by pirating is playing on common servers, and it has always been like this.

4·7 months agoRecently discovered Vylet Pony. It’s soo talented and makes amazing brostep/EDM/metal. Check out its latest album Love & Ponystep. It’s soo fun to listen to.
Also check out Zheanna Erose, basically a harmonic witch, she makes amazing microtonal music. Her EP WXTCHCRXFT takes you on a journey
Mine was that if I curled up into a ball I would float like a helium balloon lol.
I definitely think content warnings (not specifically “NSFW”) are ideal for this. Sure, the line between what should and shouldn’t be content-warned is blurry, and you don’t need to go through every highly-specific issue someone might have with your post, but things like tripophobia (or arachnophobia) are pretty widely known so it makes sense to warn about it imo. Especially for image posts since you can’t really just “not look at it” if it pops up in your feed.
And whether or not the warning is precisely about a “phobia” isn’t relevant imo. It’s just a nice thing to do, as it avoids causing others to feel suddenly itchy and uncomfortable for several minutes.
So no, I wouldn’t tag spider images as NSFW, but I’d definitely add a “CW: spider” if Lemmy supported it 🙂
You just blew my mind with that unicode trivia. Super cool !
As long as Rossmann has a say in the ordeal I doubt it’ll enshittify. If it they can’t carry it anymore, I think they’ll re-license it.
But in any case, I’m really glad to see effort toward this. Because I may be naive, but I think this will make viewers & potential devs aware that it’s possible to have a great experience consuming video without being tied up in Youtube’s basement, and I predict will inspire more FOSS in the same vein.
Thanks a lot to all contributors for the hard work!! 💪

I know I’m the odd one out, but I have the arrow keys on my main layer, linearly just below the homerow, replacing the usual punctuation bits. All the punctuation lives on my layers, just makes more sense to my brain :p
