  • Honesty, I thought you were a far-right german, based on how you called all leftists lazy and your username and instance being german. But I see you deleted your previous comment, so I looked at a bit of your comment history, and I was apparently mistaken. My apologies for lumping you in with neo-nazis.

I just cannot fathom what brings someone to make blanket statements about giant groups of people like that, other than ignorance and/or propaganda indoctrination.

  • I have eOS on the fairphone 5, and I have had zero problems with banking apps and the like.

That doesn’t mean you won’t have problems though, I don’t use many of those kinds of apps other than a bank authentication app, and a few others for public transit tickets, etc. I also live in europe, milage may vary elsewhere.

Keep in mind that eOS IS android, just with google telemetry removed. You can add a google account if you want/need to, at which point any android app should work as expected. That of course defeats the purpose somewhat, but even then eOS will still help you stay as private as possible by informing you about app trackers and using alternative services for location, etc.

  • If you assume that space is expanding, then time is also expanding.

The expansion of the universe cannot be observed locally, you have to look at something very far away to see the redshift of some distant star or galaxy. By doing so you are looking back through time. The farther away you look, the farther back in time you are seeing. But the rate at which the distant objects are accelerating away from you is not static, it is increasing as the distance increases.

So the time it takes for the light to get to you is increasing. Time is expanding relative to you. Time and space are not separate, they are linked. If something gets far enough away, then the time it takes for it’s light to reach you becomes infinite, essentially removing it from your existence entirely.

  • The world has been run by fascists before. Hiding is cowardice, and that is EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. Don’t give it to them. If you want to die proud of yourself, then get involved in the resistance.

Work on rejecting big tech. Do your part to defund them, don’t give them any money or data if you can.

If you have money to spare, donate to organizations that work to protect our rights. Or donate your time if you have some to spare.

Learn about mesh networks and buy some hardware. It is cheap, a fun hobby, and may become crucial infrastructure at some point in the near future.

Talk to your neighbors, get involved. Read about anarchism and get inspired to act locally to help others. Don’t fret the big picture, just try and leave your little bit of land better than you found it.

And when those fascists come for you and yours, give them hell.

    Die proud.
