2. Ang hirap maghanap ng child minders, I was very surprise to know that the minimum yaya wage as per my peers are at PhP10,000+benefits per month. At nagya-yaya poaching din mga parents once na malaman na maayos yaya.
3. Hindi uso daycare sa Pinas, at kung meron man, malamang hindi masusundo ng nasa tamang oras sa hirap ng transport.
4. Napaka-mahal ng tuition. Madami naman din maayos na public schools pero chambahan din na walang bully or maayos yung turo at matuto makabasa anak mo.

Though govt benefits for maternity care are quite good (thank you Mama Risa), pero parang your own your own na after mo manganak.

Recent transplant lang ako sa Lazada after years of using Shopee (lumipat dahil sa courier drama this year, which coincided with the layoff and Toni drama), frankly, LEX ang primary na dahilan bakit ako nasa Lazada: (1) ang cluttered ng UI (2) andameng irrelevant search results. If LEX is starting to suck, then balik na lang ako sa Shopee.

Sa Tiktok naman, I use MIUI, so my privacy is already kapoot. Lol. Though I did install it sa Second space para at least hindi ma-invade nag bongga mga apps ko.

Impressions:

Pros

• Di hamak na mas okay yung search nya vs Lazada. Shopee is still king in terms of relevant search.
• Less cluttered din yung UI nya vs Lazada. Mas malinis din sya IMO vs Shopee.
• All the product searches I did offer CoD
• Also ang ganda na same app makikita na agad yung reviews, no need na pumunta sa YT to check real (or real-ish) product use. Made me question bakit hindi ginawa to ng IG during its heyday. They could have made a killing sa dame ng stores na nagbebenta dun dati.

Cons

• Not sure baka dahil sa mga stores na nabisita ko, pero there’s not much vouchers/discounts offered.
• Wala din sya “Mall” option (or hindi ko pa nakikita) para at least you know na trusted si seller.
• Not that much variety in product searches plus medyo nasa hundreds pa lang yung sales ng some popular products na binibili ko.
• And gahd, uber distracting talaga sya. I understand bakit maga-unli scroll ka sa kanya, partida hindi pa “curated” yung algorithm to my taste pero naka 1hour ako kaka-scroll ng cat litter vids 🥲

Conclusion: Mukang magbabalik Shopee muna ako for the meantime until they fuck up again.

Legit. Ekis din madalas results ng search ng Lazada vs Shopee. Pero nabulag ako ng cashbacks na kasabay ang free shipping voucher.
