Loved it. It was actually a re-read for me, but felt like a good choice for the season.

I just finished an audio book version of The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher.
I’m in the middle of reading The Vanished Birds by Simon Jimenez.

Honestly lots of them grew up and realized that what they were doing wasn’t healthy for anyone including themselves. Neil Strauss wrote a second book detailing how PUA exacerbated his trauma and poor mental heath.
Without a flared base it is decidedly not butt plug shaped.

I think I have a lower threshold for saying “my friend” than for actually considering someone my friend. I think I have a lot of friendly acquaintances. People that I spend time with because we have some things in common (usually my hobby groups). Friends are the people that reach out to me, or that I reach out to for reasons outside of our initial reason for contact.

My life was changed when I stopped going to the gym for a long hard work out and switched to what I call “strength snacks”. I do two circuits of three exercises twice a day.
I think that walking can be a great start. But also doing some sort of resistance exercise is also important and useful. You can start with a body weight routine and move up to weights once you are solidly into the routine.

I mean , a minimum competence is the bar. I’m not recommending someone who is going to make me look bad if they get hired. But if you’re ok and my friend, I’ll recommend you and it’s more likely you’ll be hired over someone really good, but who doesn’t know anyone.

I had to read the title like four time.

It’s how I’ve made like 80% of my friends.

I wonder if someone tried claiming damage to their personal car?

I want to take a slightly different track than talking about how awful the US healthcare system system is (and I can and do rant at length about it since I’m a former healthcare worker). One rare but significant outcome of fractures is that because bone shards are really sharp, they can sometimes nick or sever your veins or arteries. Part of keeping you “under observation” was to make sure you were in a place to get care at the speed you would need in the case this happened to you. Doctors (especially EM doctors) are trained to consider the worst case possible outcome and mitigate that.

I have been married for about seven years and had several relationships prior to meeting my wife. I dated some incredible people and I really tried to make things work to the best of my (admittedly flawed) ability. However, there were things that I couldn’t quite pinpoint that just weren’t right. For me if a relationship lasts longer than about 3 months I like you as a person and care about you.
I really can’t tell you the specific difference between what makes my relationship with my wife what it is and everyone else. Not satisfying to hear, but pretty real.

This is going to fuck over people who are exploiting WFH to say, work two jobs
can you explain how this would catch people working two jobs esp if they are both WFH jobs?
Don’t under estimate the power of the combo of tiny skirt thicc thighs.

I’m in the last half of The Wanderers by Meg Howrey. I had gotten a few “available now” titles from my library’s e-lending and had very little idea of what it was I got going into it. I’ve been really enjoying it. It’s very atmospheric even if it’s kind of slow paced.

A hedge maze which was way more fun than I thought it would be be.

I have also wanted to chime in as a woman who has had sex with men both circumcised and not, I have personally found it to feel better with uncircumcised men.

I haven’t been eating breakfast since I started intermittent fasting. Before I kept it very simple and repetitive. I mostly had cold cereal with milk or overnight oats with chia and cinnamon.

I would encourage more than 2 hobbies. It can be very difficult to feel satisfied if for some reason you can’t engage in one of your hobbies (I speak from experience).
I got a friend these as a gift, he really liked it.
