For a second I thought the sando was sitting in a sauce but then I realized it’s just the design on the plate. 😂

Linux@programming.dev•Linux 6.19 Gets Rid Of The Kernel's "Genocide" FunctionEnglish
3·2 months agoReminds me of when I worked for EA on the development and release engineering team and we had to scrape all of our Jenkins and QuickBuild code base to remove references of “master” and “slave” and change it to “parent” and “child” or “primary” and “secondary”.
I just installed librewolf on my Linux laptop and you can customize how strict it is in the settings. There’s a librewolf setting group in the settings to adjust the fork customizations that they have made.

1·2 months agoAwe you guys are so helpful. And it’s just a pickle jar. I think i have another in the fridge. It’s a good lesson though. Thank you! If anything else i was planning on putting it in a box wearing safety glasses welding a hammer with small taps.

Austin Texas Community@lemmy.world•Australian-style cafe Citizens now serving North AustinEnglish
1·8 months agoTheir menu is all over the place. Maybe that’s what Australian food is, but between the breakfast, deli, and dinner. Dang! I can only imagine their food costs. I mean this is their 4th location, so it must be down.

I used to work at a breakfast place. It really makes a big difference to be sure to add enough oil in the pan and get it hot. Nonstick, and don’t touch it until the whites set on the bottom. Give it a gentle shake to see if it’s stuck, if it is, get a silicone spatula and gently nudge it. Then you can practice flipping in pan if you want. I really like to utilize a lid with water, but we didn’t do that, just reduced the heat a bit and let it cook. :-)
Edit: re: flipping. Really make sure you don’t add too much oil because if you do, you can burn yourself. If that happens, no emergency, just place a towel on your hand and arm.
