It annoys me when people say she is not as populist as feared, based on that she is supporting Ukraine and not anti-EU, while in Italy she is pushing hard against migrants, asylum seekers, and the LGBTQ+community.

I guess what he is talking about is that you linked the image (https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ image /2602/PIA20522enceladus .jpg ), but not the actual blog post (https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap260207.html (be sure not to include /fap/ in the link)) that include the textual information.

I am not sure if the image will show when adding the blog post as a link (instead of the image link), but when using the image link it is nice to add the blog post seperately. I think the blog post would be more valuable than the individual organisations underneath.

It didn’t really start recently. The openness about it, sure. The constant effort in malicious compliance with open standards, new regulations, and consumer lock-in are derived from greed and are not new.

Apple have had some of the best technologist and designers, but for sure have had the best marketers. I doubt they’ll manage to keep everyone on board on this new low, though.

I am happy I started quite a few years ago with moving away from Apple software (this is such an effort in itself because of the lock-in). I still have their devices, however, I am looking to replace them with alternatives when they need replacing.

I like the logo with pixelated font.

Especially since mastodon is accessible for anyone, whether they have a mastodon account or not.

Not everyone’s piece of cake, but I like Anki (FOSS) and download community made language decks.

Try your library, maybe they offer some streaming alternatives.

Note that they agreed on this almost a decade ago^[1]. Whether or not it is about Trump, I am happy about greater independence for Europe, too! There is also Galileo (GPS alternative) and IRIS2 (for governmental, business, and private communication. Sort of an alternative to Starlink) and a few others out there^[2].
