Of the 4, only one has gotten scratched to the point that I recycled it (manufacturing error methinks), but the other 3 are holding up well. I’ve had them for a little over a year. They seem durable enough.

I bought a 4-pk of glass straws for €5 and they are awesome. The rounded edge feels smooth on the tongue/lips and drinks taste better through glass than metal.

I recently completed my Masters in theoretical physics. It’s a LOT of high-level math, and quite a bit of programming (mostly Python). Additionally, PhD’s in physics are super competitive and only the top students get the positions.

If you are dead set on physics, even at the bachelors level, you should get started on your math skills now. Otherwise, I recommend you steer towards writing or something else. It’s not a subject people do unless they really love it. Just my 2 cents.

Stephen Miller is just salty he couldn’t get into any of these kinds of programs himself. Every time I see a University (or anything really) attacked for DEI, its always a butthurt conservative over-privileged white male who no one can take seriously since all they do is whine.

When I was younger I used to work at a big bank under a team of advisors. I was the main associate for our group, but also lended backup assistance to two other groups. I had a situation where an FA - not the one I worked for - needed me to do a few tasks for him when his assistant was out; nothing crazy time-sensitive. The main way we communicated was through chat/email, and he would get upset when I prioritized my own group’s clients, regularly becoming verbally aggressive.

One day he decided to threaten me with calling HR, so I turned it around on him and replied “Let’s. I’m sure they’d be really curious to know why you think it’s acceptable to talk to me this way.” That one interaction changed his tune quick (apparently he’d already gotten complaints).

Don’t let the older generations bully you in the office. If you’re good at your job, do things by the book, and have receipts, threats are empty.
