Fantastic photos. How far away were you when you took them?
I had this one. In the 2000s. Went a long long way down that road. I lived in a city, shared a small back garden. Planted potatoes, onions, carrots, and coriander (for some reason that I don’t remember). They all grey, a lot. It was fantastic. Then I got into keeping bees. Learned all about bees & how to work with them. My friend and I bought 20 colonies, built hives, convinced our local council to give us derelict land, and started an apiary where we would teach people about bees. We travelled around various festivals and took bees, and talked about bees. It was a very satisfying & focused few years.

Right now, my mum is developing dementia (we’re waiting on tests to help with a definitive diagnosis). Her memory is very bad, and getting worse. She can forget what she said in one sentence by the time she is part way through the next. If it wasn’t terrible it would be amazing - like she fully 100% has no idea what she said and sometimes will even argue that she didn’t say that thing. So I think it’s completely within the realms of possibility that he doesn’t remember.
I also think that he doesn’t care enough about any of this to even register the information as worth remembering in the first place. He’s a shitty cunt regardless of the objective assessment of his mental state.

I had a host of symtpoms that could be attributed to low testosterone, or depression, or a couple of other things. I went to my GP and asked for blood tests, to include testosterone & kidney function.
My testosterone is fine (upper end of normal range) so NOW my GP & I can direct efforts towards what the actual problems are rather than wonder about low testosterone as a cause.
It’s a reasonable thing to have tested as low testosterone for men over 50 most definitely can be a source of problems.
I’m running the latest version of KDE Plasma 6 (6.5.3) using Wayland on a GTX 1070 ti. It’s been great so far.
1·13 天前I fully recommend Cachyos. I run it on my HP z620 (Xeon e5-2667 v2, GTX 1070ti) and it’s great. Best distro I’ve used so far (30 years using Linux)

@[email protected] I bought the game early on without much investigation as I’d been looking for a DnD game and this seemed to be it. I played without any research, and I didn’t even know there was a romance mechanic. I discovered it when somehow Lae’zel had dialogue options that seemed … unusual (for her). Turns out, pretty much the ONLY character I don’t have to try to romance is Lae’zel. Seems my playstyle is exactly what fits her character.
Every time. All the others take a lot of work.
8·16 天前When I was 19 - 21 I sold drugs in the club scene. Early 90s. I did it Thursday - Sunday. I made £1k per week minimum.
It was not fun but … I couldn’t make surviving money with the shitty jobs I had (I’d been working since I was 15) and this was easy. It was 90s clubs, they practically sold themselves.
Decent money but lots of stress.
Cachyos is fantastic. I installed it 7 months ago and I can never go back (I previously used Mint for years). It’s the best distro I’ve used. Best of luck.
2·17 天前I’m also on the search for a different phone that is more open and onto which I can install de-googled android or linux. Maybe Jolla phone? or Fairphone? I don’t really want (or like tbh) a Pixel.

So Canta (https://github.com/samolego/Canta) is the app that uninstalls and Shizuku (https://shizuku.rikka.app/) is the app that allows Canta to access the system.
Together they’re basically just a UI ‘easy to use’ alternative to direct adb via terminal. Canta displays a list of all apps on the phone system conveniently marked with recommendations for removal - e.g. Recommended | Unsafe | System | Advanced | Expert
I know it’s more work to setup however for ease of use after that I like it. There are lists available (on Github for example) of apps that have been installed on most phone models and I would use these lists anyway if I was using adb+terminal. Now using Canta IT checks the lists, and provides me a visual interface to the apps that are installed on my phone, compared to the compiled lists, and then marks them … then it lets me remove or not as I see fit.
In summary, it’s seems to be a nice(?kind of) UI to adb designed for ease of use.
I stumbled upon Canta & Shizuku which when combined can enable removal of (system level) apps on Android devices. I haven’t gone crazy removing stuff however I am following cautiously the lists of recommended and safe apps.
