And when they removed the agenda from the calendar flyout to try and force you to use the ‘widgets’ / be exposed to more ads and propaganda. SMH my head.

You’re right. We should definitely ban them, too.

I also have problems on Linux. I’ve tried a few different methods, but ultimately, they always end up seeming to freeze and make no further progress after a certain point.
I don’t think it’s a good idea. “Rights” have been demonstrated to be withheld from those not deemed worthy. They can, and will be taken away at the behest of those in power. If anyone needs to learn the value of responsibility, it’s corporations who profit from having great privilege. Those who dictate exactly what they want their responsibilities to be. We as simple peons don’t get to choose what rights we’re afforded, or what responsibilities we must uphold. For example, on a very basic level, citizens have the responsibility to at least pay tax on their earnings.
People are still car dependent in that future? Fuck it, I’m out.

Tournament branding for the worst World Cup, yet. I’d rather they didn’t bother, tbh.

Correction: let’s have AI rewrite the entire operating system around AI
come on, you know they won’t.
Or half of the promises made about last years OS, either

Is a tax on unhealthy food going to make vegetables cheaper?
How about a tax on wealth, you gormless cocks?

I feel like this is an extremely important development in the history of computing, and we’ll look back at this when we’re not allowed to install apps on any of our devices.

But, of course, the very real and very tangible group ‘antifa’ is the one branded a terrorist org.

On the bright side, you get to use actual Firefox on your android. And install an actual adblocker, too. Oh, and also, no Liquid Glass.

This really could be a massive problem. Articles and posts suggesting that it will only ever affect a small number of users are short-sighted, at best.
If google can refuse apps by unauthorised developers, and the criteria for authorisation shifts in the way that everything else seems to shift, that could mean a wide array of apps become effectively ‘blocked’.
Right now, we’re all rightly worried about losing things like revanced. But what about when your local fascist government puts pressure on google to block the developer behind an app you like/love/need, because they made a joke about some gobshite getting shot?
It’s bad enough that apple has always been this way, I’m saying that as a long term apple user. We desperately don’t need the only current mainstream alternative going that way, too.
