1·2 years agoApple is by far the most monopolistic tech company you can choose from.
But… While capitalism naturally leads to monopolies, capitalism can’t function under monopolies, so I guess supporting the most monopolistic company is going against capitalism…

2·2 years agoOh, I didn’t know you needed apple products, the most monopolistic tech company to exist, to survive. That explains why their fans are so rabbid. I better switch from Linux otherwise I’ll die.

News@lemmy.world•A nuclear plant’s closure was hailed as a green win. Then emissions went upEnglish
1·2 years agoI’m pro nuclear based on the science, but I’m anti nuclear based on humanity. Nuclear absolutely can be run safely, but as soon as there’s a for profit motive, corporations will try to maximize profits by cutting corners. As long as there’s that conflict I don’t blame people for being afraid.
Assuming it’s a real tweet my guess would be that the last reply appeared on their inbox out of context so they thought they were responding to the original tweet. Since Twitter is a shit platform with shit conversation structure I think it’s likely assuming it’s real.
These cowards need to finish the fucking sentence. "don’t agree"with what exactly? Their right to exist?

11·2 years agoA walkable city means everything is closer for everyone, so if you have mobility issues you can just use a slower, safer, more efficient vehicle like a scooter or a cart that still suits your needs since you don’t have to go as far as to need a car.

3·2 years agoI thought legit ones existed, but I guess the concept exists but hasn’t been paired with technology and scaled. Tech bros are more concerned about making a cheap buck than providing a good service so they’d rather come up with a shitty addictive service that you have to pay for forever rather than coming up with an efficient service that actually achieves the goal.
I’m guessing it’s an error state. Reporting an impossible number is better than reporting an incorrect number.
