Why are people still writing and publishing these “we talked to 5 morons in hicklemcdicklefuck nowhere about their support for Donald Trump” articles? NYT Pitchbot even had a phrase for that… put it on t-shirts 3 years ago. “In this Ohio diner…”

Earth being invaded by aliens or something, but it took place in space or a moon base. Basically a side scroller/platform game where you can jump with low gravity and switch to different weapons.

This was a pretty cool game. Not the greatest ever but definitely above average.

I doubt that the cops are generally democrats.

The 95,000 poor people I presume
I don’t get it, how is this a lefty meme? It’s saying we don’t need a functional government? Isn’t that anarchist or libertarian or something?

This is what it was like using 3D programs on an Amiga in the late 80s or early 90s. One image took hours and hours to render. 5-6 hours would be a short one, usually it was more like 12.

What would be best for American workers is for immigrants to either have full right to work and be in the country, and therefore full wages and protection of labor laws, or not be in the labor force at all. Business owners want them to be here in a vulnerable, marginalized position so they can take advantage of them, which also screws over citizens. Note that it’s the business owners who hire illegal immigrants screwing over Americans, not the immigrants.
Systems like Christianity are way too complex, ancient and far removed from modern society - the Ten Commandments were pretty concise, but then there’s so many other ‘do this, don’t do that’ rules and suggestions, in Leviticus for instance, plus then the New Testament which has some things that override the old one. Then it’s tied to this supernatural gibberish and tall tales and legends that barely make sense (Noah’s Ark, for example, or Jesus magically creating food and healing people), plus centuries of rationalizations of the contradictions (Trinity) and additions used to control people (eternal hellfire!). For a book supposedly dictated by a supreme being, the Bible sure could use a damned editor. Probably the whole thing should be scrapped, but newer religions aren’t much better, if at all.

People who work highly educated or skilled jobs don’t actually want the US to allow a bunch of immigrants to come and compete with them. That’s the situation with tech workers and H1B visas. Jobs going unfilled right now are not the ones worked by the best and brightest or most highly educated…
Giving a wealthy suburb ample facilities so people can just walk in and vote in 15 minutes, but understaffing and skimping in an urban area so people have to wait in line in the sun for 5 hours is voter suppression, which is a form of rigging elections.
Fundamentalists don’t necessarily follow the tenets of the religion more accurately or thoroughly. They often have their own interpretations others disagree with, and pick and choose what to follow as much as the rest.
Figuratively, though. It wouldn’t be difficult to imagine Trump squawking like a chicken and flapping his arms while turning in a tight circle when something truly upsetting to him occurred.
Worse, if he’s the antichrist, they’re the choades who were suckered into believing him. They talk about how he’s picked by Jesus. Some pastors have given sermons about how he is an “imperfect vessel”. But I’ve never heard any say he’s the antichrist, not even close.

Do you need advice on coping with it? Sounds like an interesting experience. I haven’t lived in different countries but have lived in many different areas of the US. The southwest, south, Midwest, Pacific Northwest and New England vary a significant amount culturally in addition to the differences between rural and urban areas. I don’t have any real advice but I suppose have had similar experiences… I grew up in a very car centric SW city, basically nothing but houses and strip malls like a mini LA, and thought it was great… I loved driving around and exploring the grid of traffic. However decades later I realized I wouldn’t enjoy living there at all and much prefer towns like central Eugene, OR where you can walk to everything you need within a few blocks.

Turns out to be not good business sense as they got caught, and it’s likely to destroy the brands as well as the manufacturer.

Probably, but that’s some very extreme penny pinching.

Best wishes in that endeavor, and thanks!

Horrifying. I’ve heard some lead compounds taste sweet, but wtf? How about sugar or just artificial sweetener even?
Having lived in the Midwest, I do find the term “flyover” fairly ridiculous and elitist. It’s rather close minded. Having also lived in rural areas and towns of 8,000, I don’t have a problem with Hicklemcdicklefuck used to describe old guys with giant mustaches who vote for Trump.
