In Texas they don’t have anything remotely enshrined into their constitution so for us here in Cali we had to put it to the people and even then it’s sorta weak since it has an exact end date in 2030. It’s only here for one cycle before it falls off and goes back. Which could be dangerous if the other states don’t stop gerrymandering.

Yeah, the first time it happened on Google Maps I thought it was just an issue with like that small section of bridge/overpass, but then it did it again and I was just stuck in the same traffic but now even further behind. It was incredibly odd. By like the 4th time I was like “ok, if I don’t stop using you then it’s on me for being so frustrated.”

Here in Cali I’ve noticed it’s actually better. Google Maps has been ass for the last 4 years for me. Wrong data, it takes me randomly off the freeway only to loop my back and put me right back where I got off. It has completely wrong traffic data, and it has road closures it thinks are still open. When I travel around the bay for work I mostly use Apple Maps.

Also, my AR stays locked up in my safe. I live in California with nearly identical gun laws to Canada. I also can’t just shoot someone in my house and have to apply reasonable force.

Completely agree with your points. I own several AR-15s (that I refer to as assault rifles in long form and AR in short form) and even battle rifles and if you even walk into any gun store they would call them AR. Which they’d say means armalite rifle, except that it’s a brand name… so it would certainly seem they’re either saying Kleenex, or it’s referring to something with a more common name… just gun people think anyone saying “assault rifle” isn’t in the know or is looking to take their guns. All of which has drastically increased over the last 15 years. Look at a really good high end 1080p monitor and a low end 4k monitor and you will actively choose the 1080p monitor. It’s more pleasing to the eye, and you don’t notice the difference in pixel size at that scale.

However only like 45% of homes have guns. Like me most of us gun owners don’t just own one, we own like… a number that’s greater than 5. So it skews the data.
