The US commissaries are subsidized and provide a mandatory ~23% savings on prices over retail stores.
NYC could totally do the same thing if they wanted.
More Perfect Union has a breakdown on this, it’s pretty good/ informative.

80% of the time it works every time!
You’re likely bumping into processes which are blocked by IO or are zombies.

Agree with you on network protocols. Your physical product example is bad.

I suspect lack of affordable housing plays a part.

“… Whoever told you that is your enemy”

Also very good, but geographically limited.

I’m curious what you think the significance of that is?

Not only is it legal to keep quiet, you’ll face consequences from your religious institution if you report what you know.

Not just about making perverts face justice, it’s about helping current and preventing future victims.

How about calling out mental health care for profit?

Yeah. That’s a good point. I don’t know why anyone would put any frequently updated app in squashfs.
I guess you can use the app right after you factory reset even if you don’t have much data which might be something? Are updates smaller since they’re just deltas?

Ceding the framing to the Nazi position for political expediency isn’t much better.

Hear! Hear!
We should put TotallynitJessica in the campaign! Reminds me of this quote.
“Some party hack decreed that the people had lost the government’s confidence and could only regain it with redoubled effort. If that is the case, would it not be be simpler, If the government simply dissolved the people And elected another?” – Bertolt Brecht

Those apps are installed in the squashfs image. Such images are write once, read many and thus they can’t be mutated at runtime.

Do you think the actual law matters to the Supreme Court? They act more like priests now.

I still can’t believe the Dems lost to the dumbest freaking idiots alive. What a clown show.

That’s all good. Still feels like insane behavior for the car to have.
I think this is the classic case of trying to second guess the operator of the vehicle.
Some people were leaving their cars on in their garages accidentally, and having the engine start at some point later. This leads to leaking combustion products into the garage and home.
To fix that, they add an auto shut off that leads to cars unexpectedly turning off.
Hard nut to crack.

Yep. I agree.

The car was running with the air conditioner on. It automatically turns itself off after one hour in park.
It could be subsidized. In that case you could easily save money over retail stores.
Note that some grocery items are sold below cost at retail stores as part of a loss leader strategy (milk for example).
