World News@lemmy.world•Syrian president declares support for Lebanon’s effort to disarm HezbollahEnglish
4·3 days agoIt’s very possible to condemn multiple bad groups. Israel is an undemocratic, colonial, war crime mob state. And at the same time, Hezbollah are Iran backed religious lunatics with missiles. They are not contributing to anything positive in the region. They are actively destabilizing Lebanon, which is positive for Israel.
Who do you think help arm and fund Hamas in the beginning? Ooh it’s Israel. Why? Destabilizing Palestinian unity. Who benefits? Israel.

World News@lemmy.world•Syrian president declares support for Lebanon’s effort to disarm HezbollahEnglish
31·3 days agoThe only resistance? Hamas, PLO, Iran would like to differ.
But the reality is that Hezbollah is a plague for Lebanon. An Islamic ultra conservative cult with its own militia is not a good thing. They won’t hesitate to bring the country into other regional conflicts, remember they also actively supported Assad in the civil war.

51·4 days agoThere’s A LOT of negative things we can point out in regards of both Lebanon and Syria, but getting rid of Assad was a step in the right direction, and the eventual downfall of Hezbollah will also be good.

22·10 months agoBut the fishing industry and agriculture would be wrecked
Edit: we would have to give up fishing rights to the EU, which will not be a good thing for smaller fishing communities on our coast.
Our agriculture would have to compete with large scale EU-producers, which do not have to deal with harsh winters like we do.

4·1 year agoHotels are a lousy option for me and my family with small kids. We need an option where we can cook, play and be a family. I grew up using Intervac, which is a homeexchange service, where families from Germany, Austria, France etc lived in our house, whilst we lived in theirs. Now we do the same, but also need places to stay when we are driving down to the house where we are going to live.
Renting out your apt or house whilst you are on vacation is not eating up the cities, but speculating in it like many are doing with AirBnB, should be regulated/illegal.

Well, in Norway we have a cartel/triopoly which is not good. Lidl tried to establish here, but were quickly squeezed out of competition.
