3·2 years agoI have carrier voicemail that’s included with my plan but stopped paying the extra $5 /mo for “visual voicemail”. I still have carrier voicemail but just have to dial in to listen to those messages.
If your phone is off or not connected to the network then carrier voicemail would take effect.

I used sales scripting to my advantage once while at Costco. During checkout you’re (too) often approached by someone trying to upsell your Costco membership.
I find Costco stressful enough with how busy they usually are so I’m already on edge. One day during checkout this particularly aggressive person was trying to pressure me into upgrading my membership, I has already said “no thank you” twice, once when they first started speaking to me so finally if frustration a blurted out “How many no’s do you need to end this conversation?!”
They looked taken aback but replied “usually three, but I can see you don’t want this membership” and then walked away.
