I mean he was an angel that was kicked out of heaven for his don’t tread on me tee shirt…

But in all seriousness, the religious right has more in common with Satan than God. Pick one Good aspect of the Bible and the right does none of those things.

Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven for rebelling against God, which he did because he was jealous of humanity.

Or so the Paradise Lost goes. None of that shit is in the Bible.

I disagree, Satan seems like a pretty reasonable dude from what I can tell. If anything, Old Testament God and conservatives line up fairly well.

Jesus on the other hand was a hardcore leftist.

God’s a petty asshole throughout much of the Bible. I’d say they have a lot in common with him.

From what I remember, they don’t actually believe in Satan. But under American law you can’t be recognized as a religion without claiming a deity or god

That second part is not accurate at all. There is no requirement for worship of any deity to have the full protection of the first amendment, nor is there a requirement for a deity to be eligible for tax exempt status.

There are multiple religions that are protected under the constitution that worship is not a part of the religion at all.
