    Just had my probation terminated….

Because we were under resourced and they couldn’t accept it.

    Fuck. I’m fucked.

Had an interesting and awesome time celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday last week.

His watch tells him he has the fitness of a 20 year old and I can confirm that is true. Unfortunately the government doesn’t know that and has already sent a letter to say they’ll be sending out a poo kit.

It’s so much nicer not having an account or the app for the other place anymore. Instead of doomscrolling, I’ve been doing the crosswords on the Guardian app instead.

I’m finding everywhere I hang out can have issues for me if I stay there too long exclusively… I have to have various places and spread myself out/rotate through them.

I wish I was more capable of doing healthier stuff than relying on the internet 🫩

Had a chat to some friends, got some recruiters details and have made a plan for how to proceed.

I’m safe for around 6 months and Im pretty sure I’ll be working well before then.

I’ll be honest. I don’t have a choice but to succeed. There is no safety net except some money. There is no home that I can live in rent free and bill free while I get back on my feet.

Which is why I can never really give up.

I guess it works out in a way.

      That really sucks what’s happened.

I know this doesn’t help but being told you’ve been the best manager for that person above I hope takes the edge slightly off the shitty situation.

I can’t think of 1 manager I would’ve sent that to lol. So that says a lot and the next place will be lucky to have you.

That’s really kind of you man, and it does take the sting out.

I’ve got a plan, the steps figured out and a path ahead.

I’ll get there in the end, even if it sucks ass for a while. As long as Fluffball and I have a place to live and bills paid (and the strays fed) then it’ll be OK :)

          it’s not just that

pay rates are 1/3 of what they were in the 1970s and yet society still has the same expectations

if the changes society has endured happened in a few years we would say we are in an economic depression but since it’s been 50 years people pretend this is normal

and yes, the BIG failure is letting big business take our natural resources for free

we could be living like Norway

My lower back is still no bueno. Impossible to sit in my office chair and not get pain, did as much as I could but I’m in bed now. Physio helped a bit but it’s not a miracle cure. I waddled around the block for a bit to keep my back moving, waddling is all I can muster right now. I got a few puzzled looks from my slow strange movement haha. Pleeease be better by tomorrow.

Oh no. Backs are slow to heal. If the physio gave you exercises, they will help but it might take a few weeks to months. If you need to get through the day, Voltaren may help, but it’s a mask not a cure.
