You’re technically correct which, in some minds, is the best form of correct. But “false dichotomy” and “whataboutism” go hand in hand and therefore form one unit of meaning. False dichotomy eliminates all but two options and whataboutism shows that “the other” option is bad too. And yes, before you say it, the comment above mine listed more than two options. I’m not sure not caring about precision or clarity is an anarchist thing, but I think I can guess where you are right now, and it’s probably more important to caution you to be cautious how you link identity and ego to things like rationality and morality.

I think semantic discussions aren’t very fruitful so I don’t take them seriously
