Yeah that was great how she just ignored his attempts to assassinate her character and deflect and she just kept on with reasonable questions. That one was definitely some covert shade haha

She asked him about his controversies instead of pandering and throwing easy questions. Every reporter or interviewer who has ever had the misfortune to have to interview him has been met with hostility for asking “difficult” questions. If you’re not praising him, you’re a horrible liar out to hurt his “stunning” reputation.

He’s offended any time someone acknowledges the mountains of evidence that he’s a pedophile. He thinks in terms of good / bad; Loyal / disloyal. If you challenge him in any way, especially on his most shameful misdeeds, he sees you as attacking him viciously. It didn’t matter that she made no statement about it or even asked a really pointed question. Just acknowledging that those files exist and he’s in them is seen as an attack by Trump.

Throw Bill Clinton’s sexual relations comment in between them - not for whataboutism, but because the rednecks are foaming at the mouth over the Clintons, and lumping them and Trump into the same group makes them uncomfortable af lol.

      not for whataboutism

It really is tiring to see people insist any critique of a Democrat is some kind of defense of a Republican. If anything, the Clinton impeachment should be a glaring example of how awful and hypocritical all these people were. FFS, Henry Hyde and Newt Gingrich were having affairs while debating Clinton’s impeachment. Like, literally doing twelve hours on CSPAN railing against the thousand crimes and misdemeanors implicit in a blowjob, then hopping into a cab and driving over to their mistresses’ to get pegged.

You don’t even have to go to Trump (who was in the middle of cheating on Marla Maples at the time of the Clinton impeachment) to talk about Presidential infidelity or creepy sex shit. All these fucking gooners were doing it.

Agreed, I just know how quick the rednecks are to “BUT CLINTON!!” in response to any criticism of Trump. Beat em to it by including criticism of Clinton with criticism of Trump and their brain breaks a little cuz redirection is their only card.

Why is he smiling when he says it?

“The one most frequently associated with lying was a high intensity version of the so-called Duchenne smile involving both cheek/eye and mouth muscles. This is consistent with the “Duping Delight” theory that “when you’re fooling someone, you tend to take delight in it,” Sen explained.”

    https://www.rochester.edu/newscenter/data-science-facial-expressions-who-if-lying-321252/

This is an involuntary reaction and Trump isn’t meaning to smile, but he is lying and his facial expression gives him away.

Smiling because he knows he is safe. Reminds me of how OJ Simpson behaved in the civil trial after he got off on the criminal one. Abusers always get cocky when they know no one can touch them.

100% thought he was going to say he was an ephebophile or just that he liked older girls like teens (because I don’t know that he can say ephebophile or knows what that would mean).

    Lol.

Remember when Nixon was the worst Republicans could do?

Seems like a fucking angel now.

And millions of dipshit losers will keep voting for GOP candidates. Despite the most blatantly obvious example of why we shouldn’t that we’re ever likely to get.

This is so sad but very true.

Seeing the comparison just now made me think about the fact that Heritage Foundation was created in large part because there were many Republicans (even within Nixon’s own administration) who didn’t believe he was conservative enough.

There’s even conspiracy theories that members of the intelligence community started intentionally bungling orders/jobs that they were carrying out for Nixon (including Watergate) to create public scandals and give him enough rope to hang himself.

So while it was a very big moment for America to see Nixon get impeached, the next Republican POTUS (Reagan) was carefully groomed before opening the door to allow the Heritage Foundation into the White House. This marked the beginning of the modern day far right movement and the creation of a post truth consensus reality by a president and his administration to control the American people on a massive scale.

TLDR: I shudder to think about what comes after Trump if Americans never pull their heads out of the sand relationship between wealthy conservatives who own corporations and the U.S. intelligence agencies they fund.
